In case you missed it…
I launched The Kanso Show on Sunday — a podcast where I interview the brightest people in the world to explore one big question:
How can we live alongside technology without losing what makes us human?
My first guest was my good friend & prolific YouTube creator Jacklyn Dallas. You can watch the full ep below or listen on Spotify / Apple. New episodes drop every Sunday.
If you’ve been enjoying reading this each week, please share with a friend, family member, in your company Slack channel etc. Truly means the world.
Alright, game time.

Today is a quick one because I want you to go and take action on this immediately:
Lately, I’ve been thinking non-stop about my content diet. Mostly because I’ve been recently digitally waterboarded by content from all directions.
This barrage of slop is only going to continue as AI avatars, deepfakes, and LLMs improve, so I’ve started asking myself three questions as a strong filter before I start to scroll:
Does this inform, inspire, or entertain in a way that actually aligns with my values & top priorities (aka Rocks and Pebbles)?
Am I intentionally choosing this, or did an algorithm push it to me?
Do I feel better or worse (emotionally, physically, spiritually etc) after consuming this?
After you finish this newsletter, I highly encourage you to take five minutes to sit alone with your thoughts. Grab a pen and paper.
Think back on your content diet for the past few days…
What type of content do you normally consume?
What platforms? What content formats? What topics?
What emotional state you’re in before / after? How’s your attention span?
Write down your answers and then ask yourself the first three questions I listed above.
If you’re interested in introducing more ‘nutrient-dense’ content into your life, here are a few tips:
Newsletters: Subscribe to high-quality, topic-specific newsletters instead of relying on sifting through 99% of the noise on social feeds to find 1% of the signal.
If you’re currently relying on social media to learn about a topic and don’t know of a quality newsletter in that niche, reply to this email. I’ll do my best to find one for you.Long-Form YouTube Channels: Follow channels and creators you trust, who do in-depth dives into subjects you care about. YouTube also has an archive of timeless content from some of the smartest people on the planet with sub 5k views.
You won’t get recommended it unless you are really intentional about who or what you are looking for.
Rec: I thought this ‘New Space’ documentary was amazing, and I’m not even a space nerd like that. All of the S3 content is gold.
Books & Essays: I love Read Something Great to find new articles and essays. Substack has also made writer discovery a LOT better.
Podcasts: Podcast discovery is always a challenge but again, if you want to send me a topic you are nerding out about, I’m happy to help you find a good fit. I personally love The Tim Ferriss Show, How I Built This, and have recently been getting into Diary of a CEO.
Important to add that I’m not saying that every piece of content you consume needs to be educational.
You can (and should) use tech / content to relax or entertain yourself as long as you're:
1) Still making progress on the most important aspects of your life
2) The content you’re consuming actually makes you feel relaxed. If your consumption makes you feel worse and you keep doing it anyway, your relationship with that content/format/app might be more problematic than you realize.
Luckily, the questions I posed above should help uncover this realization 🙂
